Lili Melo was born in Portugal in 1958. In 1978 she attended the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto. In 1981/82 she attended the course on Drawing at the Collective Árvore, in Porto. In 1982 she moved to Paris and in 1988 she got a Master degree on Plastic Arts by the University of Paris.
