Portuguese painter (1948), she experimented the oil painting, for the first time, in 1964, imitating Coubert from a reproduction in a book. She attended the Painting course at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and her first references were Chagall and Van Gogh. She is a member of the National Academy of the Fine Arts and of several associations, collectives and cultural foundations. She was awarded the degree of Grand Officer of the Order of the Infante D. Henrique, by the President Dr. Jorge Sampaio. Since 1974 until 2011 she held and participated in a hundred of single and collective exhibitions, in and outside the country. In 2008, the Contemporary Art Centre Graça Morais opened in Bragança, with an exhibition of her artworks. She also developed works in the fields of set design and illustration.
